HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE postponed until May 31

With any new smartphone that is in the pipeline the release date can often become the centre of speculation and rumour, which can sometimes be down to the carrier or manufacturer themselves not officially announcing a date, and today we have news of the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE that has been postponed until May31.

There have been a number of Verizon customers waiting for the device to arrive for a while now, and details of the handset recently posted on the carriers website increased this further, but as Gizmo Crave are reporting there was no information on a release date for the handset.

As reported before there were a number of rumours suggesting its arrival will fall on May 10th, but it now seems there is a delay in the handsets release. The carrier has changed the release date to the end of May, and in doing so has let down a number of eager customers looking to get their hands on the device.

To recap the device will be powered by a 1.2 GHz dual core processor running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with a 4-inch Super LCD qHD display, which will have a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. The handset will also have 1GB or RAM, and the camera on the device is an eight megapixel unit with auto focus and Geo tagging. This is also capable of 1080p HD video capture at 1920 x 1080 pixels, and there is a VGA shooter on the front for video chat with friends and family.

With any luck this latest release date will stick and won’t slip back again, and the handset will meet consumer’s expectations. Have you been waiting for the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE?
