It appears that when the Google Nexus 7 tablet arrives in the United Kingdom, the Android slate will come minus a few feature categories, whilst the US Nexus 7 tablet gets them all, as the word is Google has announced that the UK version of the Google Nexus tablet will be minus three categories.

According to the guys over at Slash Gear, by way of the Inquirer, apparently a spokesperson for Google has told the Inquirer that when the Android Jelly Bean slate comes out to play in the UK it will lack three categories that will remain exclusive to the US model.

Which means that the UK Google Nexus 7 tablet will not feature such categories as music, TV shows and magazines, as the US wants them for themselves, and that the UK model of the Android slate will have all options that are currently available in the UK Google Play store.

Apparently there’s no word from Google just when these missing categories will show up on UK Google Play, but apparently due to international licensing requirements it could take quite a bit of time.

The Google Nexus 7 tablet will command a price tag of £159 in the United Kingdom, and as the tablet is now missing some of those categories it may put some potential buyers off, but one does have to say you still get quite a bit for your 160 quid, such as that NVIDIA 1.3GHz Tegra 3 quad core processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and the 7-inch display of course.
