Most are aware that HTC has a few Windows Phone 8 smartphones in the pipeline, and it appears there is now some speculation that a couple of Windows Phone 8 handset might just possible make an official appearance at an HTC launch event possible in London or New York in the 3rd week of next month.
Those three Windows Phone 8 devices are currently codenamed the HTC Rio and HTC Accord along with the HTC Zenith according to an article over on Unwired View, by way of Chinese website WPDang.
The guys say that as both the HTC Rio and HTC Accord have been previously rumoured to hit shelves sometime in October, with the HTC Zenith following after, it makes sense that HTC would unveil the devices next month.
We have previously learn what the three Windows Phone 8 handset will offer spec wise, the HTC Rio is said to sport a 4-inch WVGA touch screen along with a 1GHz dual core processor, with a 5 megapixel camera and 512MB RAM. The HTC Accord is said to pack a 4.3-inch Super LCD 2 touch screen along with a 1.5GHz dual core processor, an 8 megapixel camera, NFC, and 1GB RAM.
When it comes to the HTC Zenith, the word is the device will be HTC’s flagship Windows Phone 8 handset with a 4.7-inch Super LCD 2 touch screen, 8 megapixel camera and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon quad core processor.
But other than those few rumoured details nothing else is really know about the new HTC smartphones, but if the information turns out to be spot on we should no more before the end of September, and of course we should also know by then whether HTC has been beaten to the pouch by Nokia, who is also expected to deliver their first Windows Phone 8 smartphones in October.
