There are millions of smartphone users that also have accounts on social networking site Facebook, and just like Twitter users can easily use their smartphones to interact with the social networking site. Today we have news for readers that own a BlackBerry smartphone that also use Facebook as the app has been updated to 3.3.0.11 and now includes better BBM integration.

The application has recently been updated with some new features added and increased BBM connectivity, and the app also has a new look to it along with refreshed icons and navigation. Users can now find and add BBM friends as well as start BBM chats directly from the Facebook application.

Users can also now share their BlackBerry PIN with their friends on the social networking site, and also find out which of their friends on Facebook also use BBM, and after finding who has BBM all that is needed is a quick tap of the new BBM icon to invite them to become a new contact.

It has also been made easier for users to un-friend someone directly from within the Facebook for BlackBerry application, and the update also allows users to view their photos quicker and at a higher resolution.

Thumbnails can now be viewed for all users photos for easier browsing as well as full screen image viewing and these images can now be saved to the handset or media card. The new Facebook for BlackBerry application is available now via the BlackBerry App World, but some users that have already downloaded the app have been giving it some mixed reviews.

Some users that have already started using the updated Facebook for BlackBerry application have complained that the old version was better, with complaints it is slow and notifications not reaching them.
