Sony Xperia Z1 released and priced for India
There are a number of new smartphones being launched at the moment covering a variety of price levels and specifications, and we now have news that the desirable Sony Xperia Z1 has been released and priced for India.
Yesterday consumers in the country were treated to the official unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 along with the Galaxy Gear and Note 10.1 2014 Edition. Now today Sony has been staging its own event in the country to officially launch the Sony Xperia Z1.
The new Sony smartphone will cost Indian consumers Rs. 44,990 and even better the device is available from today beating the Galaxy Note 3 to the market, and to sweeten the deal even further the company is throwing in a Premium cover and a portable battery charger along with Accidental Damage Protection.
To recap the Sony Xperia Z1 features a 5-inch Full HD display powered by the Qualcomm quad core Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.2GHz, which is paired with 2GB of RAM running the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system.
There is 16GB of on board storage that can be expanded by a further 64GB via microSD card, and a 3,000 mAh battery is supplying the juice. The rear camera is one of the main selling points for the device with its 20.7-megapixle sensor coupled with Sony’s own G Lens with 27mm wide angle and f/2.0 aperture.
The smartphone measures 144mm x 74mm x 8.5 mm weighing 170grams and just like the other Xperia handsets already released this year the device offers dust and waterproofing.
