Galaxy Grand 2 India release revealed, price wait
The Samsung Galaxy range is hugely popular around the world with numerous handsets available to consumers, and now the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 release in India has been revealed but with a price information wait.
Samsung has been holding a special press event in Mumbai, India after the handset was quietly launched towards the end of last month. The Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 will be released in India during the first week in January and the company has yet to reveal the final pricing for the smartphone.
It will be priced between Rs. 22,900 and Rs. 24,900 when the handset is finally available to consumers in the country, and it will offer a 5.25-inch 720p touchscreen display powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm processor that is believed to be the Snapdragon 400 quad core unit.
This is paired with 1.5GB of RAM running the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system and is likely to get treated to some KitKat at some point in the future. Other specs of the Galaxy Grand 2 include an 8-megapixel rear facing camera with autofocus and LED flash, while around the front is a 1.9-megapixel unit.
There is 8GB of on board storage that is expandable up to 64GB via microSD card and a 2,600 mAh battery is fitted into a form factor measuring 146.8mm x 75.3mm x 8.9mm weighing 163 grams. It will be available in three colour options that include black, pink, and white.
Samsung has preloaded some apps that are seen on the likes of the Galaxy Note 3 and S4 such as Story Album, S Translator, S Travel, and Samsung Hub.
