Some news today for readers in India about the Lava Iris 503e. This is a budget variety of the Lava Iris 503 that released last year and as such is likely to attract potential buyers. We’ll run through some of the specs of the device before the price and availability news.

The Iris 503e has a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a 5-inch touchscreen display with resolution of 854 x 480, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD to 32GB. It’s a Dual SIM phone with a 2000 mAh battery, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, FM Radio and 3.5mm audio jack.

It runs the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system but we’re not entirely clear on the camera set-up. The phone is now listed on eBay.in with a description saying it has a 3-megapixel rear camera, but Fone Arena points out that the branding on the reverse indicates a 5-megapixel rear camera. It also has a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It’s listed on eBay with a price of Rs. 6749 and is available in black or white colour options.
