Oppo R1 review gives mixed picture
There has been a lot of attention just lately on the new flagship Oppo Find 7 and Find 7a smartphones, but we should remember that the company also has other devices to offer. The Oppo R1 is one of those handsets, and today we have an Oppo R1 review on video to share with readers.
The Oppo R1 was made official back in December but took some months to arrive for some countries, for example it was only officially launched for India at the end of May with a price of Rs. 26,990. Specs of this very slim handset include a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor, Mali-400MP2 graphics, 5-inch IPS LCD display with resolution of 1280 x 720 and 294 ppi, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (non-expandable).
Further specs of this dual-SIM handset include an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and 1080p video capture, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, a 2410 mAh battery, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0. It runs the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean-based Color OS, measures 142.7mm x 70.4mm x 7.1mm and weighs 140g.
Below our story today we’ve embedded a YouTube video from 91mobiles that shows a review of the Oppo R1 smartphone. It begins by showing the design of the phone, which is pretty impressive and is also said to feel good. You’ll see a hardware tour that gives some welcome close-up looks at the handset before the review moves on to the camera app and camera capabilities, including some image samples.
It also looks at the software experience and some of the features as well as gesture controls, the performance of the device, battery life and more. At the conclusion of the review we hear some of the positives of the device, including its appearance, impressive display, capable camera and good battery life, although some other specs are felt to be lacking.
Although the review offers a mixed picture, if you’re after a smartphone that offers real-world performance and usability then the Oppo R1 could be the right choice for you.
