Call it the “Moto X 2014”, “Moto X 2nd generation”, or “The New Moto X”, the now Lenovo-owned (ex Google-owned) Motorola flagship for 2014 is really a flagship with some specs that don’t fall behind other manufacturers’ top of the line smartphones (on the contrary). Launched on September 4, The New Moto X is slowly becoming available to more and more markets, after recently hearing that on September 26 (two days from the date of this article), the brand new smartphone will be available in the United States of America on Verizon (aka Big Red).

However, those who live in India have a good reason to celebrate, if Motorola’s latest and greatest is the smartphone they want to opt for. Today, the smartphone manufacturer has officially launched the Moto X (the 2014 version) on the Indian market today. The handset will be officially, and exclusively, available later today through Flipkart (an e-commerce company founded in 2007). It will go for 31,999 INR (which roughly translates to 320 GBP or 410 EUR. While the Moto Maker customization utility is not available in its entirety on the Indian market, the smartphone manufacturer offers three options for future Indian buyers: black, bamboo and leather back.

As a reminder, the all new Moto X is a major step-up from last year’s model. In case you are interested in the specifications of Motorola’s 2014 flagship smartphone, you should know that The New Moto X features a a larger, 5.2-inch screen with 1080p resolution (that’s 1920 x 1080 pixels), a faster SoC (system-on-a-chip) which is a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 model clocking at 2.5GHz (the MSM8974AC model), 2 GB of RAM for running your applications, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac for your connectivity needs, a 13 MP main camera with flash, a two MP front facing shooter, while everything is being powered by a 2,300 mAh battery, as well as Google’s latest iteration of its Android mobile operating system, Android 4.4.4. KitKat (in an “as close to stock” as possible iteration).
