Tesco Hudl 2 price announced, release in days
The original Tesco Hudl tablet has been a major success for the company, thanks to its competitive price and decent specs. Now the new and improved Tesco Hudl 2 price has been announced, and the good news is that it will release in just a few more days. We have details of specs and more coming right up.
The second-generation Hudl has now been officially launched and offers some upgrades over the original. Hudl 2 specs include a 1.83GHz Intel Atom quad-core processor, an 8.3-inch Full HD display (with notably slimmer bezels), 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage with microSD for expansion to 48GB.
Further specs include a 5-megapixel rear camera, 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera, and dual band WiFi. It runs the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system in stock form, and battery life is said to last for 8 hours on a single charge. Now on to the all-important price tag and it’s just £129 but will be cheaper if you use Clubcard points, with £5 worth points equating to £10 off the tablet. It comes in aqua, black, blue, orange, pink, purple, red, or white colour options.
The Hudl 2 is slimmer than the first generation model and includes protection for children, as when it’s first turned on owners will be able to configure the device. Options include time restrictions on how much it can be used, blocking sensitive content and more. Pre-orders for the device will be open from October 8th with availability from October 9th. You can see more at this Tesco product page.
The original Hudl will be sold at £99 while stocks last, and will then be discontinued. Are you pleased to see the arrival of the Tesco Hudl 2? Will you be putting this on your Christmas wish list or buying it for someone else? Send your comments to let us know.
