Nexus 6 rumor ramblings wrapped up
We’ve been writing about the Nexus 6 aka Nexus X for many months now, and speculation about the smartphone is stepping up the closer we get to an official launch. It’s now thought that this will be a Motorola handset (codenamed Shamu), although at this stage nothing is confirmed. Today we want to share some Nexus 6 rumor ramblings on video from one of the most respected YouTubers out there, Marques Brownlee.
There have been many leaked specs, renders and more about the Nexus 6, and you can check out our many previous articles on the device here. It’s thought Google will take the wraps off the new Nexus later this month, and of course one of its highlights is that it will be running the new major upgrade to the operating system, Android L.
If you don’t want to trawl through all of the news on this device so far, the YouTube video that you can view below this article gives a good roundup of the more credible leaks and rumors so far. As Brownlee says himself, he gives his thoughts and ramblings on the Nexus 6, starting with the larger display size that has created somewhat mixed feelings. You can see more about this in a recent video that looked at a Nexus 6 mockup showing its size when compared to the Nexus 5 and other handsets here.
The design is also discussed with the general consensus of opinion feeling it will be based on the Moto X, and Brownlee notes that if the rumors are accurate the new Nexus looks to be stepping away from the conservative route. The video continues by moving on to the Android L experience, and Brownlee finally points out that not much has changed from his original predictions about the Nexus 6 other than that whopping display size.
This is an interesting take on all of the Nexus 6 rumors out there, and offers some useful insight into what’s likely for the next Nexus smartphone. The video has already received over a quarter of a million hits, indicating how many people take notice of what Marques Brownlee is saying when it comes to new devices.
If most of what’s contained in the video below about the Nexus 6 turns out to be accurate, do you think it will be the smartphone you’ve been waiting for? Maybe you still have concerns about such a large screen size? Drop us your comments in the box below.
