Micromax is a huge name in the mobile market for India and has just announced another new device, this time a tablet. The new Micromax Canvas Tab P666 availability and price details are coming right up along with specs and more, and you may be pleased to know that you haven’t got to wait long until it arrives for sale.
Micromax and Intel have teamed up for this new tablet, and it has specs that include a 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z2520 dual-core processor, an 8-inch IPS display with resolution of 1280 x 800, and 1GB of RAM. It has 8GB of internal storage that’s expandable to 32GB via microSD, and runs the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system.
The P666 has a 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and 1080p video recording capability, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, and 4400 mAh battery providing up to 325 hours of standby time. Connectivity is taken care of with 3G via single SIM, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPRS, EDGE, GPS/A-GPS, and microUSB.
The design of the Micromax Canvas Tab P666 has metal edges and a glass finish. It’s nicely slim at 7.99mm and weighs 310g. Pre-loaded apps include Hike, Swift Key, Dr. Safety virus scanner, Opera Mini Browers, Bookmyshow, M! Games, and M! live. It comes in black or white colour options. Sales of the tablet begin on Saturday November 29 and the Micromax Canvas Tab P666 price is Rs. 10,999. It will be available both online and through retail stores.
Speaking about the tablet at its launch Micromax’s Chief Executive Officer Vineet Taneja referred to it by saying, “We have been witnessing an increasing demand for high-quality tablets that offers a seamless experience and more efficient data consumption on the move. The Canvas Tab P666 is designed to address such needs by offering a dynamic range of device capabilities powered by the Intel Atom processor that delivers a great performance.”
