A few days ago we informed readers that the launch of the new Galaxy J5 and J7 in India was due on July 16. That has now taken place and we have details of the Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7 prices in India that have now been confirmed. We also have news on availability of these new Samsung smartphones.

These are both selfie-centric mid-range handsets, with the Galaxy J7 being the superior of the two. When the phones were made official in China the Galaxy J5 was priced at CNY 1,398 while the Galaxy J7 had a price tag of CNY 1,798. The equivalent of those prices for India were Rs. 14,285 and Rs. 18,375, although we stressed that these were simply indicators as pricing usually varies from region to region.

Now the Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7 prices in India have been announced, and the good news is that they are both cheaper than those prices for China. The Galaxy J5 is priced at 11,999 while the J7 is Rs. 14,999 and they will be sold exclusively through Flipkart. Sale begin in one week on July 23rd and customers can pre-book from today.

Some offers are available to buyers, for example a flip cover worth Rs. 999 will be available for just Rs 199. Also customers can get in-app purchase credit worth Rs. 3,200 from Gameloft. Airtel customers can benefit from 4G double data for 6 months and also Airtel Wynk unlimited music downloads for 6 months worth Rs. 594.

The Samsung Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 will both be offered in black, gold, and white color choices. They offer 4G LTE connectivity with support for 1800 MHz (Band 3) in India although nothing has been specified about 2300 MHz (Band 40).
