Lenovo A6000 Plus Lollipop update now rolling in India
Lenovo smartphones have been going down a storm in India lately, with just a few successes being the Lenovo A6000 Plus, Lenovo A7000 and Lenovo K3 Note. Now we have some good news for users of the Lenovo A6000 Plus, as the Android 5.0 Lollipop update is finally arriving for the device in India.
The Lenovo A6000 Plus went on sale in India back in April as an improved version of the Lenovo A6000. It launched running Android 4.4.4 KitKat skinned with the company’s Vibe 2.0 UI, and it’s always good to hear of later OS versions arriving. Lollipop may have been some time coming but Android 5.0 started to roll out for the A6000 Plus in India this week.
It’s appearing as an over-the-air (OTA) update at 1.09GB in size. Lollipop is a major upgrade to the Android operating system bringing a swathe of new features. One of the most evident is the new-look Material Design with improved responsiveness and notifications, and there are also additional security measures, new Quick Settings, a battery saver feature, and much more.
The upgrade also offers performance optimizations and the usual bug fixes. Users of the Lenovo A6000 Plus will receive notifications about the update to their device and usually these upgrades rollout over several days. Remember it’s always worth backing up your device before installing any new update as a precautionary measure.
The Android Lollipop update for the Lenovo A6000 that released earlier in the year has not yet appeared. However, Lenovo Support has the update listed for this handset in September as well, so it could arrive any time now. just got the update and updated my lenovo A6000 plus to lollipop 5.0.2 . Update size was 1.09 gb. after installing the update it was showing some kind of error or architecture mismatch that is phone does not support the architecture which was installed but latter after 10-15 min it was gone. Overall update is good, some new wallpapers installed , speed improved but phone slightly heating more may due to large installed update…..Also all the data remained safe and installed applications also demanding update…
Someone reported that update don’t include Dolby.. Is that true??

Hi. I installed this update.
II am facing d issue of Contact manager.
Contacts r listed in there. But no name is shown in d call log, only numbers are displayed.
Also whatsapp is connected with contacts
I don’t see any contacts in whatsapp.
Same here man, the contacts don’t pop in WhatsApp, Hike or any other similar apps…..it kinda sucks but the new UI feels completely awesome!!!
Yeah all is awesome but WhatsApp showing only phone numbers and not the names I’ve reinstalled but same problem hope they solve it!
do factory reset once… this problem will be solved…similar happen to me n solved by this

I’ve got update for my a6000 but I’ve not installed it. I’ve some questions what happens if internet connection is lost during update, does it work properly,are there any bugs. ( my first question is most important I wanna hear from you?update size is 995 mb for a6000.
If internet connection gets lost.. the download will pause.. so don’t worry.. u won’t loose the downloaded part.

Hey I downloaded update for Lenevo a6000 file size was 995mb after installing and aumatically rebooting my mobile changed to nothing why?? So I am redownloading the update
same problem happened to me. downloaded, installed but not change.. still at 4.4 . downloading it again.. let c what happens now,
iam updated my lenevo a6000 plus to android lolipop. i think kitkat version is better. lolipop version desgin qualit is very poor. and laging my phone also some features are missing. dont update.
But mine looks better now!! It’s working faster!!!
I think lenevo has remove some features, like profile select, short cut to vibrate mode, and also the icons are very bore. Also the dialer pad desing is very bore. Taking contact that’s showing very slowly. Battey backups very poor. Lenevo user interface customization is very bad. Lenevo k3 not I used, that already Android lolipop, but a6000 lolipop and k3 not lolipop are entirely different.
Anyone knows how to solve the problem with hike in new android 5.0.2 , i m not receiving any notifications for new message… pls reply with solution
