LG may have a mysterious new Curved Display in the works
We were hit with a slew of foldable smartphone rumors a few months back, but it’s been relatively quiet since that time. An interesting new rumor has emerged for us to ponder as LG is said to have a new curved handset in the works.
It’s safe to say the Galaxy Edge lineup is the way to go at the moment if you want a device curved edges although the LG G Flex is a close second with its slightly curved display. We had assumed we would see the LG G Flex 3 this year as that’s generally been the case, but a new rumor suggests the company may have something different in mind for 2016.
Evan Blass, aka @evleaks, dropped a tweet about a mysterious new handset from LG. No name or specifications were given, but it’s said to have a curved display that wraps over the top. That’s an interesting approach to take, and it makes us think they may do something with notifications. The LG V10 has its own unique notification setup at the top and they could just curve it around to the back for a light up notification system of sorts.
It remains to be seen if the new LG device actually exists or if it will be the next generation of the LG G Flex. One thing is for certain, we are going to see more curved edges next year and hopefully the world’s first smartphone with a flexible display.
Would you like to see another curved display or are you ready for the foldable and flexible revolution to begin?
