Coolpad Note 3 Lite battery life vs K4 Note, Galaxy On5 and more

#

The Coolpad Note 3 Lite recently launched in India as a smaller variety of the Coolpad Note 3 that released last year. The Lite version has just gone on sale and if you’re thinking of purchasing it you might want to consider battery performance first. Today we’re looking at Coolpad Note 3 Lite battery life vs the K4 Note, Galaxy On5 and more.

Key specs of the affordable Coolpad Note 3 Lite include a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, a 5-inch HD display, and 3GB of RAM. It’s juiced by a non-removable 2500 mAh battery, and you can check out our launch article for further specs and the price. The fact that the battery is built-it means that battery life really should be taken into account, and Fone Arena has put this new smartphone to the test in that respect.

The Coolpad Note 3 Lite battery life testing is split into four major categories, Talk Time, 3G Browsing, WiFi Browsing and Video Playback. For each set of testing the time achieved by the Note 3 Lite is placed on a chart that compares the result with several other smartphones. Just a few of the other devices are the Lenovo K4 Note, Samsung Galaxy On5, Moto G 3rd gen, Moto E 2nd gen, and the regular Coolpad Note 3.

For Talk Time (see image below) the Coolpad Note 3 Lite managed a time of 14 hours and 12 minutes. That put it towards the bottom of the comparison table, just beaten by the Lenovo K4 Note on 14 hours and 13 minutes. The Galaxy On5 was on 25 hours and 2 minutes, but it was the Moto E 2nd gen and One Plus X that achieved joint top spot on 33 hours and 19 minutes. Languishing at the bottom were the Kult 10 and Xolo Black 1X, both on just 3 hours and 5 minutes.

Looking at 3G Browsing performance the Coolpad Note 3 Lite battery life stretched to 5 hours and 15 minutes. That was exactly the same time managed by the Galaxy On5, putting them both in the bottom half of the table. The Lenovo Vibe K4 Note fared slightly better with a time of 5 hours and 32 minutes. First place was taken by the Lenovo Vibe P1m on 6 hours and 10 minutes.

Turning to WiFi Browsing the Note 3 Lite achieved a time of 7 hours and 7 minutes, a slightly better performance placing it in fourth place out of ten on the table. Just below it were the Lenovo K4 Note, Moto G, and Moto E, all on 6 hours and 40 minutes. The Galaxy On5 grabbed second place with 10 hours exactly, but top of the table again was the Lenovo Vibe P1m with a whopping time of 14 hours and 38 minutes.

Finally we get to Video Playback (image below) and the Coolpad Note 3 Lite did pretty well again here as it attained a time of 11 hours and 9 minutes, taking third position. The regular Coolpad Note 3 was just above with 12 hours and 30 minutes, and top of the table was the Lenovo Vibe P1m once more on 16 hours and 5 minutes. This time around the Note 3 Lite out-performed the Samsung Galaxy On5 and Lenovo K4 Note in fourth and fifth places respectively.

Overall the results of the Coolpad Note 3 Lite battery life testing were not bad at all, especially when considering its battery size against some of the other handsets. For example the Lenovo Vibe P1m has a much higher capacity 4000 mAh battery. If you want to find out more about how the testing is conducted, check out the other tables, or see Fone Arena’s One Charge Rating for the phone, please head to the source below.
