Samsung Galaxy S8 release date could bring a 4K smartphone display
Ready for another round of Samsung Galaxy S8 rumors? A new report suggests Sammy will do something special with the glass next year, which means we could get our first true 4K smartphone display on the company’s next flagship.
We’ve seen an uptick in rumors revolving around the Samsung Galaxy S8 release date next year. While that’s not unusual, a couple of rumors just won’t go away and they’ve started a bit earlier than expected. One of them involves a 4K smartphone display, which is now rumored to roll out with the Samsung Galaxy S8 release.
Recently Samsung proved it was 4K ready by showing off a slick new display at a trade show last month. That particular panel was 5.5-inches with a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160, which smokes anything you can currently get on a smartphone. A market research firm claims the proof is in the pudding as well considering Samsung has bumped up the display size for their flagships Galaxy S lineup every two years as well. Needless to say, we have already had two years of 2K.
We thought 2015 was a banner year for Samsung in the smartphone word due to its new Edged lineup, but 2017 could absolutely put it to shame. A flexible Samsung smartphone is already rumored to be in the works and that coupled with 4K displays in their flagships would take the company to an all new level. It would also make them boatloads of cash as folks will want a 4K display whether they need one or not, and well… we all want a flexible smartphone.
Do you think Samsung can deliver a 4K panel by the time the Samsung Galaxy S8 release date rolls around next year?
