Nexus Sailfish aka HTC S1 leaked file suggests SD 820 and 5.2inch display
Setting aside the iPhone 7 and the Galaxy Note7, the Nexus smartphones of 2016 seem to be making a lot of news. It is almost confirmed that HTC will be manufacturing this year’s Nexus phones and they have two of them lined up. Codenamed Nexus Sailfish and Nexus Marlin, the two phones from HTC have been leaked a countless number of times and we now have a leaked file of the HTC S1 from none other than Evan Blass. The leaked file confirms some of the rumored specifications of the Nexus phone.
We may also have three Nexus phones this year with Huawei producing one of them. A recent FCC certification of a Huawei device suggested that it might be a Nexus device. Since all of these are just rumors, we’ll leave it at that.

The leaked file of the Nexus Sailfish is the build.prop file which contains all the details regarding the device’s build properties and settings. Even though it doesn’t give out information straight away, a lot of it can be retrieved by examining the file carefully.
For instance, the file has a string which contains ‘ARM64-V8a’ and ‘msm8996’ which points fingers at the Snapdragon 820. Even though the Nexus Sailfish is the lower end variant of among the two Nexus phones, it is no way an underpowered handset.
There is also a string which suggests that the phone has a pixel density of 420. This translates to a 5.2-inch display with a full HD resolution. Other specs show the presence of biometric security which is definitely the fingerprint scanner on the rear side.
The build.prop file image is given below. If any of you can make out any of the other build properties or settings let us know in the comments section below. More leaks and renders will be coming soon, so stay tuned!
