Samsung offers up $100 off to Note 7 customers who decide to stick around
The Samsung saga continues. While there is thankfully no bad news today, they have issued an official release updating their Galaxy Note 7 recall. They are also offering up a nice bonus if you decide to stick around.
The Galaxy Note 7 was set to be one of the hottest smartphones on the planet. A series of incidents quickly knocked it from the top spot, and now they have all been recalled. By all, we mean the replacement devices as well. Samsung’s newest statement is asking for folks to return anything that resembles the Galaxy Note 7 whether it was from the first batch or a replacement that was deemed safe.
As of today, if you choose to return your Galaxy Note 7 through the U.S. Note 7 return program, Samsung will offer you a bit of cash back for your troubles. If you pick up a Samsung-branded device, you will get a $100 bill credit, while any other brand will only get you a $25 credit. Considering a lot of folks are turning to the Galaxy S7 Edge, it’s a move that could get them plenty of new customers and line their pockets… not that they need it.
If you are still holding a Note 7 hoping that it won’t explode, it’s time to box it up and send it one its way. The phablet class if vast, and there will be plenty of deals this holiday season as we near Black Friday here in the states. Information on returning your handset and the cash back offer from Sammy can be found at the link below.
