Samsung Galaxy S8 specifications leak nixes 4K rumors
We all know Samsung’s new flagship will bring something new to the table. The Samsung Galaxy S8 specifications. have been making the rounds of late, and today a new rumor suggests one feature may not make the cut in 2017.
Yesterday, several new reports surfaced on the Galaxy S8. We briefly touched on the Samsung Galaxy S8 specifications and a possible release date. A new virtual assistant has been making the rounds the rumor mill as well although today’s news has nothing to do with the software. The specs are in the news again and things aren’t quite as sunny this time around if you had hoped for a 4K display.
Depending on which way the wind is blowing at any given moment, the Galaxy S8 may or may not come with a 4K display. Some folks claim it will happen due to a big push towards VR, but today’s news says that won’t be the case. I leak suggests the Samsung Galaxy S8 specifications will include a 2K panel clocking in at 5.1-inches. The 90% screen-to-body ratio is mentioned again as are Dual rear cameras of 12MP and 13MP. Iris Recognition may be included as well along with the new AI assistant.
If Sammy decides to forgo the 4K panel again, it’s something that will certainly disappoint some of their fans. That said, if they can pull off a 90% screen-to-body ratio, that panel will soon be forgotten. QHD is also more than sufficient for most users, and while it would make a huge different on the Gear VR, it’s not something consumers are necessarily clamoring for.
