ZTE ZMax 3 set to debut through AT&T
ZTE’s handsets still aren’t widely available in the states although some carriers do stock their phones. AT&T is one of them and it appears the ZTE ZMax 3 is going to be available to the providers consumers soon.
We are still a little over a month away from Christmas but expect to see plenty of new smartphones debut before 2017. Some will be flagships although most will fall in the mid-range class. Entry-level smartphones are on our radars as well including the ZTE ZMax 3. This device just made an appearance through the FCC leaving a trail of breadcrumbs in its wake letting us know it’s coming to AT&T.
The ZMax 3 listed through the FCC will sport a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1,280 x 720. Beneath the glass, you will find a Snapdragon 210 processor humming away alongside 2GB of RAM. The storage capacity is listed at 16GB but should be expandable up to 64GB through a microSD card slot. Those specifications put it in the entry level class, and it doesn’t get much better from there.
On the back of the ZTE ZMax 3 sits an 8MP camera with an LED flash. The front-facing camera will do in a pinch at 2MP. In the connectivity department, you’ll get Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, GPS, NFC and the usual options along with USB Type-C charging which is a nice surprise. That means you’ll be able to charge the 3,00mAh battery a bit quicker and get better transfer speeds as well.
The FCC listing obviously didn’t tip us off to the ZMax 3 release date, but it could arrive before or right around Christmas. It should be affordable when it lands with an expected price tag of around $79.99 or so.
