Bell BlackBerry Storm OS 4.7.0.76 Released: Verizon Storm Update Today

Exciting news for all you Research in Motion (RIM) BlackBerry fans that are waiting for the OS 4.7.0.76 BlackBerry Storm Update from Bell, it’s are information radar is correct then the OTA Wireless Update would have been available from midday yesterday and by 6pm today (Friday) you can get downloading via this website http://www.vzam.net/blackberry

However here is a quick run down on the Verizon release of OS 4.7.0.75 the update should iron out these problems, you don’t have to worry about your BlackBerry Storm resetting itself if its left idle, the voice activated dialing problems is sorted (incoming audio muted when using it), No more busted eardrums when you’re listening to your favorite track and then you get an incoming call on the Storm, thankfully that sorted in the OS 4.7.0.75 Storm Update.

The BlackBerry Storm will have a much smoother transition between portrait and landscape view, much better Bluetooth and many improvements in the Storms multimedia performance with the new update.

Now Bell have released a even better version OS 4.7.0.76 update but strangely enough they haven’t even started selling the BlackBerry Storm yet, bet hey why don’t you don’t download the update?!
Weird or what, or should we say premature… it does seem the the RIM guys are a little out of sync of late with their launch dates, even the BlackBerry Bold had launch problems to say the least.

I have had the Storm from Bell now for a few days and it is a great piece of hardware. Learning to type has been fairly uneventful and once you get the hang of it, pretty fast. It is not as fast as typing on a curve or world phone but very functional and minimal errors. I am running 4.7.0.76 and the phone still has bugs. It resets several times per day for no apparent reason. The orientation is still a bit slow to change over. From what I’ve seen, the phone still needs a few of the bugs ironed out but I am not about to take it back!
