While at CES 2009 Nokia announced a CDMA low end mobile phone in the shape of the Nokia 1006 mobile handset. Now the Nokia 1006 isn’t exactly going to set the mobile world on fire in terms of imaging or data speeds.

But the one thing the Nokia 1006 does have going for it is it has been developed at Nokia’s San Diego laboratories which means its likely to see some US and possibly Canadian service when it actually launches.

What does the Nokia 1006 offer? Well it will arrive in silver or blue, there’s a speakerphone, voice memo, and large five hundred address book entry, and that’s about all there is with the Nokia 1006 until further info comes out.
