Apple iPhone to gain HDMI mini connector soon
The HDMI Consortium are about to announce a mini HDMI connector for the Apple iPhone which allow the iPhoner to run full HD content from the Apple iPhone to a screen by mini HDMI cable.
This new HDMI capability is understood to be part of an upgrade of the HDMI standard 1.3.9, and at last week’s CES 2009 there was a lot of debate over HDMI vs. the new Wireless HD, several vendors claim they will have full HD Wireless set top boxed this year.
So naturally the next step would be to take HDMI to the Apple iPhone and iPods in the form of a mini HDMI cable which means delivering high quality audio and video content to a screen.
