A report over on Bits, it is stated that Palm and Sprint are telling the public not to expect long queues on launch day.

Of course Sprint and Palm have put a spin on this revelation that this is a good thing with Lynn Fox of Palm stating “Palm’s not like Apple” and a Sprint spokesperson stating they are attempting to “manage the exact opposite” of the long lines seen during the iPhone launch and noted that Sprint wants “each customer to get the experience” without the in and out rush.

The problem comes when Sprint starts turning away customers due to unavailability of Palm Pre handsets I would think, rather than worrying about whether there would be long queues outside their outlets.
