Symbian smartphone shipments hit 30 million in Japan by end of November 2007
Symbian Ltd has announced that above 30 million Symbian mobile OS smartphone handsets have been sold in Japan alone up till the end of November 07. The companies numbers say that the Symbian OS market share of the NTT DoCoMo FOMA market has grown over one year from 50% up to 65% by the end of H1 2007.
As of now, a total of 69 mobile phone models which have the Symbian OS have been launched in Japan from six of Symbian customers Sony Ericsson, Sharp, Nokia, Motorola, Mitsubishi, and Fujitsu. Should you wish to view the full press release please hit the link below.
