A new Mobile TV service for China Telecom’s 3G network has been launched in Shanghai by China’s official Xinhua News Agency reports IntoMobile.

The official Xinhua News Agency Mobile TV Service will deliver exclusive news about the Shanghai Expo, along with various news items, and analyst reports, whereas the carrier is to supple the infrastructure and telecommunications services.

State owned China Telecom can boast 35 million mobile phone subscribers along with 214 million land line subs and 47 million broadband subs as of the end of 08, and is currently working on pushing out their CDMA based 3G network.
