The new Verizon Droid Does commercial does seem to belittle the iconic iPhone, so does this mean Verizon have given up hopes of offering the iPhone, apparently not as I reported earlier which can be read (here)

However, according to an article on khabrein, as the Motorola Droid Does commercial belittles the iPhone, Verizon has mounted an offensive against the iPhone, and then the article goes on about the Motorola Droid and Android, mostly what we already know anyway.

But does this apparent swipe at the iPhone by Verizon actually mean anything? Probably not as it is probably a marketing ploy to gain interest in the Droid Does program.

Will Apple respond to this swipe at their iconic king of smartphone? In all honesty, do they need too?
