iPhone 3GS vs Verizon Motorola Droid: what has better camera?
Now when it comes to the Apple iPhone 3GS and the Verizon Motorola Droid many are probably wondering what smartphone has the best camera, well here is a little insight with a few answers.
Verizon Droid vs. iPhone 3GS Side-by-Side Camera Showdown is what TiPB are calling it, right first up the Motorola DROID has a 5 megapixel dual LED flash which is better than the iPhone’s 3.2 MP camera, so on the spec sheet the DROID is better, NOPE afraid not.
Well apparently when you put photos up side-by-side of these two phones which you can see over on Flickr it seems the 5 MP is not as good as the 3.2MP. The iPhone produces and consistently produced prettier images and this is down to the software because the Droids software is easily bamboozled by uncooperative lighting.

So what you are saying then, is that the Droid’s camera is better than the Iphone’s camera but the Droid’s software hasn’t been around as long as the Ipod’s to work out the kinks.
With as frequently as the Android system is patched and upgraded and as frequently as things are improved, I would say it is likely just a short matter of time before the software associated with the Droid’s camera is updated to work better.
So, the answer to the question “is the droid’s camera better than the Iphone’s camera?” is yes.
I agree with John. Also besides the point of the camera the video part works way better than recording with iPhone. Droid Video Camera is basically HD if you watch a video recorded with it you can see.
If I buy a Droid now, will the software upgrade to improve the camera (that will hopefully come out soon) be a free upgrade?
