iPhone 4G 2010: Are we ready for it yet?

Are we all ready for a new iPhone in 2010? I think so don’t you? The rumors are flying around again after a developer spotted something of interest.

The developer noticed that their app had been tested on an iPhone 3.1 device in the San Francisco Bay area. Incidentally the latest iPhone the 3GS is identified as the iPhone 2.1. The developer Panday spotted the 3.1 device listed in analytic results from pinch media for their app iBart.

The iBart app is simply a public transport application. Having said that the moniker 3.1 was first noticed in firmware files as far back as August and is the first time that the device has been identified as being in use.

It seems we can deduce Apple’s plans, as the first detections of the iPhone 3GS otherwise known as the iPhone 2.1 were around eight months before it’s launch. Eight months from now would put us in July 2010, which would of course coincide very nicely with Apple’s policy of massive summer releases. For further information visit mirror.co.uk
