The Sony Ericsson W910i Black and we say black because you can also get it in red, but it is the black version that is the top seller. The main feature that sticks out on this mobile phone is the shake function.
You just shake it one way to listen to music and shake it another for other functions. This is a great Walkman phone that cuts out the conventional keypad which has been replaced by the Shake control which lets you skip backwards or forwards through playlists by a flick of your wrist. You can shuffle your playlist by shaking the handset to select a random track… and you can even use the built-in motion sensors to ‘steer’ the W910i from left to right when playing games.
The phone is very slim indeed which also features Sony Ericsson’s new SensMe technology to create playlists that match your mood, it also boasts a unique on-screen display helps you choose music based on tempo and style, not merely by looking at artists or albums.

3 handsets in 9 months tells it all about the software!!! Great phone when its not crashing in the middle of something !!! Not Sony’s finest hour
for long review but it us important. I used this review before asking for this phone for Christmas and was kinda put off, as majority of people said not to buy it. I got this phone for Christmas 2008 and within a week it did start to freeze alot.
I brought the phone back to O2 and told them it is known all over the internet and even states in wikipedia that this phone freezes. The salesman was a great help and actually FIXED MY PHONE. He said that it is a common problem in phones and it is fixable! To stop your w910i freezing PLEASE READ – Go to SETTINGS then go to CONNECTIVITY in that menu go to MOBILE NETWORKS then GSM/3G NETWORKS and click GSM ONLY. Eversince the salesman done that, my phone hasn’t crashed and has been perfect and that was a month ago.
I think this phone is great and worth the price. The texting is good, excellent music player, the camera is good enough for a 2pixel and there is an option to brighten photos and change colours. There is even an entertaining slideshow which plays music whatever you feel. The loudspeaker for blaring music is crap and not great but listening through earphones the sound is crystal. Yes I would recemmend this phone.
I tried going to settings etc (advice from Amy on 8th Feb 09) and my phone was fine and did not crash for 2 days, but keeps doing it again now – its a real pain!!
Replying back to Tracey. Really sorry, after a week I typed that review my phone crashed on me twice. So my review is nonsense. I brought my phone back wanting a new one and I was only told I could get a repair, I went through a major hassle with o2 over this phone. In the end I just put up with it. So the moral is DON’T buy this phone if you don’t want a phone that crashes on you or hassle. All fairness my phone hasn’t crashed on me in awhile but stay away from it, it is not worth it as it will cause you hassle.
i have this phone.. i have had it for about 3 weeks… and it does freeze alot…at first i didnt no how to fix it, but now i do!!!!
wen it is frozen, you open up the back, and just take out the battery a little bit…then the phone turns off. then u just turn it on again. and its back to normal… HOPE THIS HELPS =] …
