Microsoft Zune phone in 2 months possibly with Windows Mobile 7
Analyst Katherine Egbert from Jeffries in a bold call on Monday evening asserts in a research note that recent industry checks indicate Microsoft will do just that within the next two months.
Years of speculation over a secretive effort which is known as Project Pink to develop a Microsoft branded handset are about to be fulfilled. The phone according to Egbert will debut soon either at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona February 15-18th or at the CTIA in Las Vegas a month later.
The company is said to have partnered with OEM manufacturers to come up with and create a Zune like phone which will have 720HD video capability and at the very least a 5MP camera.
The Pink Zune phone will be based on Windows Mobile 7 and the log awaited OS could be available at the same time. It is also speculated that the Windows Mobile 7 will include premium mobile services, which will include a Zune video store and music subscriptions. To find out more simply visit blogs.barrons.com
