Next week the Android packing Google Nexus One superphone will be introduced to developers in Taiwan and Hong Kong; however Google will not put on a Nexus One event in Beijing as expected by developers stated a source close to Google reports Reuters.

Apparently the unnamed source who wishes to remain anonymous said that if Google didn’t have such an issue with the government of China then they would have staged a similar event in China as well.

Back in January, Google threatened to close their Chinese Google.cn portal and pull out of China due to hacking and censorship issues and followed up by delaying a couple of Android based mobile phones in China. The source also said that this standoff between Google and the Chinese government has several staff at Google’s operations in China worried about their jobs.

However; Google is still looking for employees for a dozen jobs which include research and development, business development, and sales in Beijing, Guangzhou and Shanghai according to their website.
