Acer neoTouch P300 budget phone put through its paces

Thanks to the guys over at pocketnow.com via slashgear.com for this detailed review of the Acer neoTouch P300.

The neoTouch is a Windows Mobile 6.5.3 slider which was recently announced at Mobile World Congress. It has been described as a budget mobile that has a Qualcomm 528MHz CPU with 256MB of RAM and also 512MB of ROM.

It’s screen is 3.2 with low resolution at WQVGA, the device has been well and truly put through its paces by the folks at slash gear and here is the end results. Not greatly attractive for the consumer but it is also classed as a solid business device it wont hurt your pocket too much either nor let you down in day to day functions.

Many people out there still just want a phone to do the basics and that’s all they really need, although some would prefer the budget Android devices such as the HTC Hero, although it doesn’t sport a hardware keyboard it is only around £20 more expensive. It is extremely unlikely that the P300 will see an upgrade to Windows Phone 7 later in the year, having said that even if it is superseded the software will remain capable of doing everything it will do on the day you purchase it.
