Microsoft KIN Targets Social Networking Crowd

No doubt you are already aware that Microsoft has unveiled their Project Pink handsets, the KIN One and KIN Two, and both for these new smartphones are geared towards the social networking crowd and are a result of a partnership between Microsoft, Vodafone, Verizon and Sharp reports hot hardware.

Both the Microsoft KIN One and KIN Two come with touch screens and a slide out QWERTY keyboard while the KIN One sports a 5 megapixel camera and 4GB memory and the KIN Two packs an 8 megapixel camera along with high definition video recording and 8GB memory.

The KIN phones have been designed to take advantage of social networking and targets the younger generation and the KIN home screen displays such social networking sites as Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and the like, making access to social networking websites a breeze.

The president of Entertainment and Devices Division at Microsoft, Robbie Bach said, “We built KIN for people who live to be connected, share, express and relate to their friends and family. This social generation wants and needs more from their phone. KIN is the one place to get the stuff you care about to the people you care about most.”

So if you are one of the social networking crowd and want a Microsoft KIN phone, Verizon Wireless will offer the KINs in May while Vodafone is expected to offer them in the fall and will become available in the UK, Germany, Italy and Spain.
