Futuristic phones tested in City of Bath
Mobile phones which can tell where you are just from a photograph are being tested in Bath. The location-recognition tool is an application that is well advanced which means the future looks bright. The 30 triallists are being asked their opinions of interactive games, cultural information and community interaction. University researchers will also work with the city council to see how the technology will help tourists. The £1.6m Cityware project makes use of wireless networks, Bluetooth and near-field communication at different locations across the city.
