We have mentioned a few times about Samsung Corby phones and today is about the Samsung I5500 Corby, this is the first in the Corby range to gain the smartphone name.

We wish to say thanks to GSM Arena for the heads up on this latest news, they found via an Italian site called Punto Cellulare some information surrounding this device, the new Samsung I5500 recently got the approval of FCC for its Wi-Fi certification for the b/g/n protocols.

Some of the main specifications include 3G, GPS, Bluetooth and that it will run on Android 2.1 Éclair (Apparently), not too sure on what the camera resolution will be at this time.

The new Samsung I5500 Corby (Picture above is a mock-up via GSMArena) will be priced at around 200 euro, which means this will be a low to mid range smartphone.
