HTC EVO 4G Review with Videos
I’m sure you all know the first smartphone to boast 4G connectivity is the HTC EVO 4G which will surf both the WiMAX network and Sprint’s 3G network, packs a rather impressive list of specifications and is due release on June 4th.
Well Chris Ziegler over at Engadget has now posted their review of the Sprint HTC EVO 4G giving their views of the 4G handset along with a couple of videos which we have for your viewing pleasure below, one of a walkthrough with the HTC EVO 4G and another showing video quality.
On the packaging side they say it resembles a microwave meal, an egg carton material which is surrounded by a cardboard sleeve while inside is the usual array of essentials. As for the hardware, they say it’s quite imposing with its glossy soft-touch black with red accents and feels extraordinary solid and that wherever you go with the HTC EVO 4G people will notice the phone.
No doubt a big draw to the HTC EVO 4G is its 8 megapixel camera with auto-focus and LED flash along with 720p video which they say the shots had noise and splotchiness than they liked but when it comes to shutter lag, well there isn’t any, you click a photo and its taken immediately. When it comes to video quality, the HTC EVO 4G is a good substitute for a low to mid range snapper but don’t toss out your 1080p cam.
The HTC EVO 4G’s WiMAX radio can be independently controlled from the handsets WiFi, Bluetooth, CDMA/EVDO radios which will be very helpful to those in a 4G area and they say that when they did get a signal in Chicago where the network is live it was amazing.
The guys finalise by saying that they loved the HTC EVO 4G but it is still an Android handset so if you don’t like Android you probably wont like the EVO 4G, but it is one of the best smartphones ever made.
For the complete extensive review along with pictures of the Sprint HTC EVO 4G smartphone you can head on over to their website, but do come back and let us know your views by dropping us a comment, and in the meantime head on down to those videos and enjoy.
