Nokia N8 Vodafone Release Date and Price: Register for Updates
Register for updates for the Nokia N8 smartphone via Vodafone, this is the latest mobile from Nokia and should be a success. This device will run the new Symbian^3 mobile operating platform.
If you visit Vodafone you will now see ‘Register for Updates’ on its website, yes it says coming soon and many of you cannot wait we are guessing. Please let us know if you have registered for updates and we would love to know how many has.
The main features if the Nokia N8 includes a 12-megapixel camera featuring Xenon flash and Carl Zeiss lens, it will also record HD content, comes with 16GB internal memory, microSD card slot, 3.5-inch OLED capacitive touchscreen display (640×360 pixels), mini HDMI slot, WiFi, Bluetooth, up to three different home screens and turn-by-turn GPS.
According to ITProPortal Vodafone is taking preorders now, all we see is coming soon register for updates. Nokia claims that the N8 will give you up to 960 minutes worth of video playback without charging, the SIM Free Nokia N8 will cost around about £350, which like the source says is much better than the approx £420 for the HTC Desire or the £490 iPhone 3G 8GB.
The Nokia N8 release date is expected to be August 28 (We mentioned not so long ago the date being August 24) well one of them is right, 2 months before this date the iPhone 4G is expected to launch at WWDC 2010 June 7. Is Vodafone releasing too late or are they right in releasing around August.

If it works & if you don't need to take the battery out for a reboot every five minutes – i.e my n96 took 14 months before a software update actually made videoing feasible.
