Sooner or later the specs of a new smartphone get revealed, usually before the official reveal of such technical data, and it appears that this is what has now happened to the Samsung Galaxy S Pro smartphone.

According to Ross Miller over on Engadget, the guys over at Android Central have the low down on the specifications for the latest Sammy device, and say they are mighty impressive.

So here’s what the Samsung Galaxy S Pro offers, although these specs haven’t been confirmed yet, a Super AMOLED screen, 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, QWERTY keyboard with raised keys, 5 megapixel camera with 720p video recording, VGA front-facing camera, Android 2.1, TouchWiz 3.0, and WiMAX support.

The Samsung Galaxy S Pro is a tad smaller and narrower than the HTC EVO 4G, with a screen size smaller than the HTC EVO 4G but larger than the Nexus One, although apparently the tipster wasn’t impressed with the plastic feel of the Samsung Galaxy S Pro although this could be due to the device being a prototype.
