iPhone 4 Antenna Problems: Troubleshooting Guidelines

According to recent news the new iPhone 4 has been encountering problems with poor signal reception.

Apparently there are ways to hold the iPhone which could help avoid this, Steve Jobs has been trying to teach this, but this is a bit ridiculous and something we should not have to do.

When a fault is reported with any Apple product, and is returned, the guys at Applecare have a set of procedures to follow, this is to help identify and report the core issue, below are troubleshooting guidelines .

The wireless performance of the iPhone 4, is better than the iPhone 3GS, reports say try to avoid covering the bottom of the phone and this may improve performance.

According to TechTree customers will not be provided with bumpers free of charge and Apple still insists there is not a problem with the iPhone 4. Rumours are steps are being taken to resolve the antenna issue on the release of the iOS 4.0.1 update.

Let us have your opinion as to whether or not you feel this could resolve the issue, please scroll down below and send us your comments.

We have a video you can watch about the above problem, and please do answer our poll here about iPhone 4 ordering and cancelling.

I bought a iPhone 4 and had the same problem so I bought a case for it and now have the best reception I have had with any cell phone and I have own about 15 or more.  Also had 3G and 3GS.

It is ridiculous that we have to learn to hold our phone. As evidenced by the Google Droid phone ad that says hold your phone any way you want! I have a bumper now for my iPhone so I will see if the constant call dropping changes. But since the signal is always fluttering I don't think it is going to help!
