Motorola Droid X Shipping to Verizon Retail Stores
Obviously not a big surprise as Verizon Wireless is due to release the Motorola Droid X on the 15th of July, but apparently Verizon has now begun shipping the latest Droid device from the Motorola stable to its retail stores across the US.
According to Ionut Arghire of Softpedia, there are some leaked shot of internal documents doing the rounds by way of Droid-life, which show some of Verizon’s retail stores are stacking up Motorola Droid X handsets, presumably Verizon doesn’t want the same demand problems with the Droid X as the HTC Droid Incredible.
Apparently there are a few concerns over the quantity of Motorola Droid X handsets retail locations will have, and leaked information has it that an authorised Verizon kiosk in Portland OR has 20 units while a corporate store has a few more than that but still under 30, which doesn’t look too encouraging as no doubt initial stock will shift rather quickly.
