iPhone 4 Owners Happy With Free Bumper Solution Says Survey
One would have thought that all the commotion over the iPhone 4 antenna issues would have put customers off purchasing the latest Apple device, which some rumours have previously pointed at. However, apparently according to a recent survey, the iPhone 4 is “outperforming almost every other smart phone in the industry in terms of overall customer satisfaction and meeting owners’ expectations.”
According to an article over on MSNBC, the survey by ChangeWave Research says that owners of the new iPhone 4 are also experiencing fewer dropped calls when compared to owners of the iPhone 3GS.
Furthermore, apparently 20% of iPhone 4 users say they have experienced the antenna issue, an “overwhelming margin” say they are quite satisfied with Apple’s free bumper solution to the problem.
According to the survey which polled 213 owners of the iPhone 4, 72% say they are “very satisfied” and 21% say they are “somewhat satisfied.”
So, how about our readers, are you satisfied with the free bumper case solution for the iPhone 4 antenna issue, or would you prefer Apple came up with a more permanent and case free solution?

I would of liked a more permanent fix but, its ok becuase the bumper does the trick and it’s even better when it’s free! Also becuase the bumper only goes around the edges and hardly protects the phone and it’s basically just for the antenna, it’s just look having the phone doesn’t add weight or nothing. Still instead of sending away they should give them to people when they are purchasing them in stores.
Done
as a HTC convert, at least one of my iPhone4 colleagues has ditched the new bumper as lifting screen protector.
has recently bought my iphone 4 and has had dropped calls and no service, i went out and bought my own antenna through vodaphone , its called a sure signal box and is amazing , ( while im at home) and with the bumper i have full signal outside aswell, but we should of been given the bumper on purchasing the phone , this would of stopped the waiting and no signal for weeks till it turned up.
I don't have an iPhone 4 yet (still trying like crazy tho!) but I am assuming that these polls were taken just in the US (?). I live in Canada and from what I am hearing, there have been little to no problems concerning the antenna – so far. All of our major networks do carry the iPhone, so that may aleviate network pressure…..I'm guessing that's the same in the UK and France where you can but it unlocked.
Anyways, just wanted to give my two cents. Hope you all enjoy your new iPhones!
Cheers,
