Research In Motion’s latest BlackBerry baby, the BlackBerry Torch 9800 has been in the hands of the Big Blue for a while, but what about further up north over the border in Canada? There have been a few rumoured launch dates for the Canadian release of the BlackBerry Torch, but now we have news of BlackBerry Torch launch parties being scheduled on the companies’ home turf.

According to an article over on Intomobile by Simon Sage and by way of Mobile Syrup, a tipster has let them know that launch parties for the BlackBerry Torch 9800 in Canada have been scheduled to begin as of the 21st of September.

Apparently the first BlackBerry Torch launch party will be in Toronto on the 21st followed by Vancouver o the day after and then in Montreal on the 23rd September, although there is no confirmation if these dates will e the official release dates for the device.

Those attending said launch parties will learn more about the new BlackBerry Torch 9800 along with the BlackBerry 6 operating system and apparently Research In Motion will give away 25 BlackBerry Torch units free at each launch party.
