Android 1.6 LG Loop Hits Rogers in Canada
If you are over in Canada and after a low cost Android packing smartphone, one such Android handset has now hit the Rogers network and is the LG Loop GT540 handset which comes carrying Android 1.6 OS.
According to an article over on Mobile Syrup by Ian Hardy, the LG Loop features a 3 inch touch screen along with a 3 megapixel camera with video capture, GPS, WiFi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth, Tele Nav and App Store, 3.5mm jack and microSD expansion up to 32GB.
Size wise the Android toting LG Loop is 109 x 54 x 12.9mm with a weight of 115 grams and delivers up to 4 hours talk time and up to 21 days standby time and up to 17 hours of music playback time and Rogers apparently ships the device with a 2GB card.
The LG Loop will be affordable when signing up for a three year Rogers agreement with a price of $29.99, however if you wish to go for a two year contract it will cost you $199.99; no word as yet on any off contract pricing.
