People always seem to be looking for different ways to charge their mobile phone, and they same appears to go for the Nokia N8 smartphone. What we have for your viewing consideration today is a video of a Nokia N8 being powered by a hamster.

The video demo comes our way courtesy of the guys over at Daily Mobile and by way of The Nokia Blog and shows a GCSE project by Peter Ash whereby he utilises the energy of his sister’s pet hamster known as Elvis.

Hamsters are known for running energetically around their wheel, so Peter hooked up Elvis’ running wheel to his Nokia N8 and while little Elvis ran his routine the furry friend charged the Nokia N8 thus becoming the first hamster powered Nokia N8 charger that I know of.
