The iPhone Gains a Google Voice App
Now that Apple has made a few changes to the rules of submitting apps for consideration into the App Store, a few days ago the developer of a Google Voice app resubmitted his app for consideration, well it now appears that said app has been accepted by Apple.
According to an article over on Intomobile by Mari Perez, although not an official Google version, GV Connect has been approved for the iPhone and should give full access to the users Google Voice account on the iPhone 4.
The acceptance of GV Connect could be significant as it could mean an end to the long-time battle between Apple and Google because as you may remember back when Apple booted a couple of Google Voice apps from the App Store it ended up being investigated by the FCC.
Still it’s a step forward and now people can have a Google Voice app on their iPhone which can be purchased from iTunes at a price of $2.99 and is said to allow the user to interact with their Google Voice account faster than using Google’s web based version.
