Virtually everyone in the mobile world looks for even the smallest of evicence that Apple is working on new devices especially if that new device could be a new iPhone or maybe two, and it appears a smidgen of evidence has now appeared.

According to an article over on i4u and by way of 9 to 5 Mac, the current iPhone 4 is known by Apple as iPhone 3.1 and inside the Apple TV firmware there are references to a couple of unknown versions called iPhone 3.2 and 3.3.

Now obviously this cause much speculation as to just what iPhone 3.2 and 3.3 are and the current rumour is that they could well be the Verizon iPhone and possibly a T-Mobile iPhone, although that at this stage of the game is pure speculation.

There is another device mentioned in the firmware which is labelled “unknownDevice” so at this early stage it could be anything, any of our readers care to offer suggestions?
