Verizon iPhone March Debut, AT&T Black Friday iPhone Price Cuts
More word on that much sought after Verizon iPhone today, and the word is that according to an analyst who cites Asian supplier sources the Verizon iPhone will make its debut on the Big Red in March next year.
According to an article over on Computer World by Gregg Keizer, Gleacher & Co analyst Brian Marshall, who watches Apple has said about the CDMA iPhone, “it’s on track,” and also added that “it won’t be just for Verizon. There are international carriers that use CDMA, like KDDI in Japan, so I expect that Apple will make a big global push, not only in the U.S.”
Marshal further stated that “Apple will sell an additional 11.5 million units with Verizon,” although the analyst wouldn’t place a figure on total global sales of a CDMA iPhone next year.
Marshal has also said that is his sources are correct, “AT&T will discount the iPhone on Black Friday by as much as $100 in an attempt to collect more subscribers before next quarter.”
So there it is if it is to believed, AT&T will cut the cost of the iPhone for Black Friday and the Verizon iPhone will debut in March 2011, but then this is only one analysts views on said matters, but as Black Friday isn’t that far off it won’t be too long before we know if he’s right.
