If you are currently on the lookout for an Android smartphone it may well pay to make a visit to your local Walmart store as Walmart is apparently doing some cheap deals on at least two Android toting handsets.

According to an article over on Intomobile by Dusan Belic and by way of Tmonews, the retail giant is offering a couple of Android device on the T-Mobile network cheaper than T-Mobile, with the first device being the LG Optimus T which T-Mobile offers for $30, however Walmart is offering the LG Optimus T for just $0.97.

The other Android device in this cheap deal is the rugged Motorola Defy also on T-Mobile who sells the device for $99, but again Walmart is offering the Motorola Defy for just $48.88 on the T-Mobile network.

Both Android devices are also available to qualifying upgrade and new customers, so if you’ve been looking to upgrade your device it’s now worth nipping down to your local Walmart and doing so rather than going direct to T-Mobile.

So any of our T-Mobile readers close to upgrade or contract end going to snap up the LG Optimus T or Motorola Defy in time for the festive season at these great knockdown prices?
